Vacancy: Mechanical Engineering / Product Development Engineer – Scheemda
Are you an engineer who gets energy from varied projects, smart technical solutions and designing products that are actually made? Do you enjoy working with SolidWorks and want to be involved in the entire process: from customer request to prototype and production? Then this is your chance.
As an Engineer, you work on customer-specific roll containers, static carriers and product improvements. You are the technical link between sales, production, purchasing and the prototype department. No day is the same: one day you design a completely new product, the next you solve a technical problem on the shop floor.
What are you going to do?
You start the day by reviewing new requests and any technical questions from within the organization. Then you get to work on a variety of engineering projects.
Your work includes:
- Translating the Program of Requirements (PvE) into a technical design.
- Designing and detailing products in SolidWorks.
- Developing customer-specific roll containers, carriers and other metal products.
- Designing welding jigs, drilling jigs and other production tools.
- Preparing production drawings and assemblies.
- Supporting the prototype department and production with technical questions.
- Optimizing existing products and production processes.
- Preparing revisions and change forms.
- Consulting with sales on technical solutions and, where necessary, accompanying them to customers.
On a daily basis, you switch between designing, improving, consulting and solving problems. That variety is exactly what makes this role so interesting.
Who are we looking for?
You enjoy solving technical challenges and like to contribute ideas for smart constructions and practical solutions. You work accurately, communicate well and feel at home in a production environment.
In addition, you have:
- At least 3 years of work experience as an engineer.
- Experience with 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks.
- Affinity with metalworking and product development.
- A technical education at MBO or HBO level.
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages.
- Knowledge of the German language is a plus.
