Vacancy: Assistant Carpenter / uPVC Window Installer - Wedde
Are you practical, do you have technical insight and would you like to work on installing uPVC windows, doors and sliding doors? For our client in Wedde, we are looking for an assistant carpenter / installation worker who is eager to get to work.
You do not need to be a fully qualified carpenter for this role yet. Do you already have some experience in construction, installation or engineering? That is a plus. Are you mainly practical, motivated and willing to continue learning the trade in practice? Then we would also be happy to get in touch with you.
You will work for a reliable family business and collaborate with an experienced colleague at various locations in the province of Groningen. This will allow you to gradually carry out more work independently and develop yourself within the trade.
What are you going to do?
As an assistant carpenter / installation worker, you will support a range of installation and carpentry tasks.
- You will help remove existing window frames.
- You will help install uPVC windows, doors and sliding doors.
- You will carry out various preparatory carpentry tasks.
- You will assist with positioning, installation and finishing.
- You will work with various types of tools and materials.
- Together with your colleague, you will ensure that the workplace is kept tidy.
- You will gradually learn to carry out more work independently.
- You will work closely with experienced colleagues. This makes it an excellent role if you want to develop further into an independent carpenter or window installer.
Who are we looking for?
We are mainly looking for a practical self-starter with technical insight and a strong work ethic.
- You are practical and enjoy working with your hands.
- You have technical insight.
- Experience in carpentry, installation, construction or engineering is a plus, but not a strict requirement.
- You are motivated to learn new tasks.
- You are available full-time for 40 hours per week.
- You have a category B driving licence and your own transport.
- You are willing to obtain your VCA certificate if you do not already have one.
- You are reliable and keep your commitments.
- You work well with others and are not afraid to get stuck in.
