Vacancy: Lead Carpenter, uPVC Windows - Wedde
Are you an experienced carpenter who can independently install uPVC window frames, doors and sliding patio doors? For our client in Wedde, we are looking for a lead carpenter who knows their trade and enjoys delivering high-quality work.
You will be working for a reliable family business that is looking to strengthen its team due to growth. From Wedde, you will work with your colleagues on various projects for private and business clients in the province of Groningen.
As a lead carpenter, you know what needs to be done on site. From removing the existing window frame to aligning, installing and neatly finishing the new one, you ensure that the work is carried out properly.
You will be given a great deal of independence and will work on a range of projects. No two days are spent at the same construction site.
What are you going to do?
As a lead carpenter, you are responsible for proper installation and finishing at the client’s premises.
- You remove existing window frames, doors and other elements.
- You install and align uPVC window frames, doors and sliding patio doors.
- You carry out the associated carpentry work.
- You ensure neat and professional finishing.
- You check that everything functions properly.
- You independently solve practical problems during installation.
- You work with colleagues and can guide a less experienced colleague where necessary.
- You ensure that the workspace at the client’s premises is left tidy.
Who are we looking for?
- You have demonstrable experience as a carpenter, window frame installer or in a similar role.
- You can independently carry out carpentry and installation work.
Experience installing uPVC window frames is a major advantage. - You have technical insight and work accurately.
- You are customer-friendly and enjoy delivering neat work.
- You are available full-time for 40 hours per week.
- You hold a category B driving licence and have your own transport.
- You have a VCA certificate or are willing to obtain one.
- You are reliable and keep your agreements.
