Vacancy: Groundworker
As a Groundworker you will contribute to various projects in civil engineering, road construction, and hydraulic engineering. Do you enjoy working outdoors, are you not afraid of physical work, and are you someone who gets things done? Then we are looking for you!
What are you going to do?
You will work together with colleagues on various projects in the Groningen region. Your duties include:
- Carrying out earthwork, such as digging, backfilling and raising ground levels
- Setting out elevations and directions for sewerage, earthwork and paving based on drawings or instructions
- Installing sewer pipes and positioning manholes
- Bringing trenches to the correct depth and gradient
- Working with auxiliary tools and carrying out minor maintenance on them
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors and is willing to roll up their sleeves. Preferably, you already have some experience as a groundworker, skilled worker, or in a similar position. In addition:
- Willingness to start early and work outdoors
- Holder of a category B driving licence
- Ability to work well with others
- A strong sense of responsibility for safety and quality
- A valid VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one
