Vacancy: All-round Scrap Worker – Metal Recycling – Hoogezand

For a metal recycling company we are looking for an all-round scrap metal employee. In this role you will be on the site daily and you will work with different kinds of metals, machines, and people. No day is the same: from forklift driving to customer contact, you won’t bat an eye at anything!
This metal recycling company is a practical and involved operation where they do what they promise. They purchase old iron and metals from, among others, the metalworking industry, demolition companies, and scrap dealers. After sorting and processing they ensure that these materials find a new destination with metal producers and smelters worldwide. In this way they contribute daily to a more sustainable use of raw materials. Within the team they work practically, think along with each other, and are always ready for the customers.

What are you going to do?
As an all-round scrap metal worker, you are versatile on the yard.
- You unload from suppliers and private individuals with the forklift
- You weigh materials and assess metal quality
- You analyze and sort different kinds of metals
- You dismantle and clean metals
- You keep the yard neat and organized
- You have daily contact with customers and carriers
You work independently, but are also part of a close-knit team.
Who are we looking for?
You are a doer who likes to be hands-on and isn't afraid to get dirty.
- You are physically fit and enjoy working outdoors
- You are customer-friendly and have good communication skills
- You work accurately, especially with weighing and administrative tasks
- You are good with numbers
- You come across as confident and take things on independently
- Experience with a forklift is a plus

- A salary between €2,400 and €2,900 gross per month
