You start the day early at the site with a cup of coffee and a friendly start with your colleagues. Together you discuss the plan for that day. After that, you and the team depart for the drilling location, and from that moment your hours begin to run.

On location, everyone takes on their tasks and you, together with your colleagues, ensure the localization of cables and pipes. Based on this information, you use a mini excavator to dig out the entry and exit points for the bore. Then you prepare the drilling fluid using a large mixing unit.

During the boring, you or a colleague supervise the process with a walk-over system, through which you indicate the correct direction to the drill head. When the boring is nearly finished, you lay the pipes ready at the exit point so they can be withdrawn. Afterwards you measure the entire bore digitally and leave the workplace neat and finished.

As soon as you return to Winschoten, you make sure everything is prepared again for the next workday. In winter, when conditions do not allow drilling, you are given the opportunity to take courses and further develop yourself within the company.
